Little Moments

Life is this chain made up if little moments. Little moments like sharing a meal together, or making eye contact with a stranger that ends in both people smiling. These little moments don't need the glue of time because when you're living them time is totally irrelevant. Time is nothing. A little moment can last a second or an hour. They simply merge together like hot metal into a beautiful and original piece of art. Little moments like getting lost in an old town. Little moments like getting soaked by the rain. Little moments like smelling a perfume that reminds you of home. Little moments like emptying out all the food in your bag to share with friends. Little moments like finding a broken umbrella, fixing it and sheltering others with it. Little moments like having a group of friends sing you off at the train station, then try to outrun the train. It's great. These little moments are what we remember as we grow. They have faces of those we meet and love, they have smells, sounds and textures. They have feelings. I wear my little moments with pride and hope to never forget them. They make me who I am; they make me happy.
